Balance

Balance is about self-management and self-care. Finding that Balance in your life is so important. having tools up your sleeve to achieve this is even more important. When those sticky moments appear and you feel like your axis is on a tilt, have some tools mentally prepared to help you move on.

Don’t wait until that sticky moment is actually happening. You won’t be able to think logically and calmly enough to suddenly make a tool up. There is no magic wand you can wave, but by being mentally prepared beforehand, you will be able to visualise and use whatever tool is necessary for that time.

Try this……Put yourself into the 5 categories below….

Social, Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual.

Write down how each word makes you feel and notice what you come up with. Where do you most need support and guidance? Can you see a connection to how you feel and find a Balance in it? Can you put together a sentence or a phrase that links all five of these together? This is your tool.

What does ‘Finding your Balance’ look like to you?

You may ask how could this help me? Like an exam, if you have prepared before the day comes, you are ready to face whatever may be on the exam sheet. If you feel positive that you know your stuff, you can cope with turning that exam sheet over. If you have tools up your sleeve to help you remember details, you can confidently write on that exam sheet.

So, why not apply the same rules to your every day life. Don’t wait until that next sticky moment to think about this, prepare yourself now. Pre-empt the next time and draw on your inner strength. Work out what it is, that is important to you and what you value most. Take the time now to figure this out and you will save yourself from the uncertainty and the upset that being off Balance can bring.
